Refund policy
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase from Mineral Treasury. Because many of our mineral specimens are unique, one-of-a-kind natural items, please review all photographs, descriptions, dimensions, and weights carefully before purchasing.
Returns
We accept return requests within 14 days of delivery. To be eligible for a return, the item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, including any specimen box, display case, stand, label, or other accessories included with the purchase.
Please contact us before sending any item back. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.
For returns that are not the result of damage, an incorrect item, or an error by Mineral Treasury, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Natural Mineral Characteristics
Mineral specimens are natural products and may contain inclusions, fractures, cleaves, contacts, matrix, irregular surfaces, color variations, or other naturally occurring characteristics. These characteristics are part of the specimen and are not considered defects when visible in the photographs or disclosed in the product description.
We make every reasonable effort to accurately photograph and describe each specimen. However, colors may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, and your device or monitor.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, the specimen shown in the product photographs is the actual specimen you will receive.
Measurements and weights are provided as accurately as reasonably possible but may have minor variations due to measuring methods and equipment.
Damaged Items
Mineral specimens can be fragile. We carefully package orders to protect them during transportation.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery and provide photographs of:
- The damaged specimen
- The interior packaging
- The shipping box
- The shipping label
- Any visible damage to the exterior of the package
Please retain the specimen and all original packaging while the claim is being reviewed. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a refund, replacement when available, store credit, or another appropriate resolution.
Because many specimens are one-of-a-kind, an identical replacement may not be available.
Incorrect Items
If you receive an item different from the item you ordered, please contact us promptly. Mineral Treasury will arrange an appropriate resolution and will cover reasonable return shipping costs when the error is ours.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed within 5 business days to your original payment method.
Please allow additional time for your bank or credit-card provider to process and post the refund.
Items returned damaged, altered, incomplete, or materially different from the condition in which they were shipped may not qualify for a full refund.
Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will attempt to accommodate cancellation requests made before an order has been processed or shipped. Once an order has shipped, it must be handled according to our return policy.
